Abu Dhabi Summer Sports has become a major seasonal event in the UAE. It brings athletes, families, and fitness fans together under one roof. The 2026 edition ran from 6 June to 23 August at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Visitors enjoyed a temperature-controlled indoor space for dozens of activities.
Many participants travel to the venue by car, especially when carrying heavy sports equipment. Therefore, knowing the available parking areas makes your trip much smoother. Parking rules can change between event editions, so checking ahead remains essential.
Was Parking Free for Abu Dhabi Summer Sports?
The answer depends on the specific edition and visitor category. For the 2025 edition, ADNEC stated that parking was completely free for participants. The official announcement confirmed free entry to parking facilities during event hours.
For the 2026 edition, ADNEC listed Car Parks A and B for visitors. However, the official listing did not claim that general participant parking was free. Meanwhile, a separate announcement confirmed free parking for the 2026 Abu Dhabi Summer Sports Expo in August. Therefore, you should always check current guidelines rather than assuming past rules still apply.

Why Checking Parking Information Matters
A major venue can become extremely busy during peak evening hours. Arriving early helps you secure a spot without unnecessary stress. Furthermore, early arrival gives your team enough time to walk to your assigned hall.
Planning ahead is particularly helpful for families carrying heavy sports gear. Long walking distances can feel tiring after an intense game or workout. By checking parking maps beforehand, you ensure a pleasant visit for everyone involved.
